Join our Patient Participation Group

Medicus patient participation group ( PPG ) is founded on the strength of our 15 Practices PPGs. Patients from our practice sites sit on the overarching Medicus PPG which then meets regularly so that we can hear our patient voice and tailor our services to meet their needs. We have a dedicated PPG Practice lead who supports the Medicus PPG and their meetings.

There are lots of benefits for our patients

Once you are Medicus patient, you can be seen in any of our 15 practice sites seamlessly, this gives you more choice and allows you to see the right clinician at a time and place that suits your needs.

  • We are all on the same system so your records can be accessed at any of our sites.
  • You can attend appointments nearer to your work or friends, you do not have to always go to your registered practice sites.
  • Medicus are able to offer other services, such as:

At our sites you will be able to book an appointment for a minor surgical procedure, this may include removal of a mole, or other skin lesion. We also offer steroid joint injection clinics. Appointments for these specialist clinics are usually booked after consultation with a clinician

This specialist clinic is offered to our patients who are on warfarin and have been stable with monitoring at the hospital anticoagulant clinic. These patients then can be seen in any two of our Medicus sites, Lincoln Road Medical Practice or Freezywater Primary care so that you do not need to attend hospital for your regular monitoring appointments.

From September onwards through out the winter months our practice sites offer a mix of flu walk in and bookable clinics. These are offered during the week and also on Saturdays at some of our sites. Flu vaccinations are provided by our team of highly trained clinicians offering you a safe, quick and effective service.

This service runs at our Willow House Surgery Practice site where we work with a specialist Drug and Alcohol Consultant to help support our patients at the most vulnerable points of their life. Offering them support as well as counselling to manage their medical care.

We have diabetes specialist clinics at each of our 14 practice sites. These clinics are multidisciplinary and are lead jointly with General practitioners and specialist diabetes practice nurse. To ensure our patients receive the highest quality care – we are the only practice in North Central London to employ a Diabetes Nurse Consultant Debbie Hicks. Debbie works with her nursing and GP team to review patients who have the greatest needs to ensure that they are best managed and our patients have the best outcomes.

As a Medicus patient we are able to provide the full compliment of family planning services. These are available across a number of sites. We offer appointments for all forms of long acting contraception such as the depo injection, Nexplanon and both the copper and Mirena Coil.
